JAMES DAY 16 PRAYER
Pray that as you teach you will do so with a standard that is pleasing to the Lord with the understanding that you will be judged more strictly. (James 3:1)
James 3:1 (New International Version)
1Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.
JAMES DAY 16 CHALLENGE
Do you consider yourself a teacher? Well, each of us is one in some capacity if we think about it. We certainly have ample opportunities to teach about our faith. With those opportunities come responsibilities. A responsibility to teach God’s Truths to be just that, His Truths!
If we are put into positions where we are called “teachers of the Word,” then we better take serious our role in that. God doesn’t take that position lightly and either should we. God has called teachers to a higher standard and James lies out that we will be judged more strictly. Our life at home needs to be no different than it is as seen by our students. We need to live a life of integrity and honor no matter where we are or whom we are with.
Remember, we all fall into the teacher role at some point in our lives whether it is with our actions or our words. We must watch ourselves, watch our actions and our teaching to be God honoring and to be True.

SPECIAL PRAYER/CHALLENGE TO WIVES FOR THEIR HUSBANDS:
JAMES DAY 16 PRAYER
Pray that your husband will take his role as a teacher seriously. Pray that any time he teaches or mentors others; he will understand the responsibility in that teaching. Pray that he will continue to grow and learn for himself so that he will teach others facts and Truth. (James 3:1)
JAMES DAY 16 CHALLENGE
I have often seen marriages with wives who will continually correct and overstep the “teaching” boundaries of their husbands. With my type of personality, this is an area that I must continually monitor. I have found that any time I desire to butt in and correct my husband with little details, facts, etc. when he is teaching, explaining or guiding, I diminish his credibility.
